Description: This dataset is derived from the Water Use Facilities (RegPermitting) and consists of major public water supply (PWS) wells located in the jurisdictional area of the South Florida Water Management District. A Water Use Permit (WUP) allows withdrawal of a specified amount of water. This dataset is updated annually before the start of each new Regional Water Supply Plan update. The PWS wells are selected from the Water Use Permitting Facilities dataset, and the wellfield names each well belongs to is added to the attribute table.
