Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;font-size:12pt'><p><span>The public water supply wellfields dataset includes the location for each public water supply well for major utilities that use &gt;36.5 million gallons of water per year. The wellfield name that each well belongs to is included in the attribute table.</span></p><p><span /></p><p><span>This dataset is derived from the Water Use Permitting Facilities and consists of major public water supply (PWS) wells located in the jurisdictional area of the South Florida Water Management District. A Water Use Permit (WUP) allows withdrawal of a specified amount of water. This dataset is upated anually before the start of each new Regional Water Supply Plan update. The PWS wells are selected from the Water Use Permitting Facilities dataset, and the wellfield names each well belongs to is added to the attribute table. The list of major permits (&gt;36.5 MGY) to include and wellfield names are determined by Water Supply Bureau.
