Service Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;font-size:12pt"><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>The 1999-2000 Southern and Central Florida Land Use serves as documentation of land cover and land use in southern and central Florida as it existed in 1999. Land cover/land use data was photointerpreted from 1999 1:40,000 scale NAPP CIR aerial photography and classified using the SFWMD modified FLUCCS classification system. Features were stereoscopically interpreted from the aerial photography and vector data was compiled on screen over corresponding USGS DOQ's. Horizontal accuracy of the data corresponds to the positional accuracy of the USGS DOQ's. The minimum mapping unit for classification was 2 acres for wetlands and 5 acres for uplands.</SPAN></P></DIV>

Subject: This version of the 1999 land use and land cover contains data mapped by SFWMD, SJRWMD and SWFWMD and combined into a normalized schema populated using a standard code reference look up. All three mapping efforts used a modified version of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Florida Land Use / Land Cover Classification System (FLUCCS). Land use classes were interpreted from 1999-2000 National Aerial Photography Program (NAPP) aerial photography. This dataset represents the Land Cover and Land Use for 1999. These data were produced for the SFWMD's "Land Cover/Land Use 1999 Mapping Project".
